Turns out this really is Emil, former Riv Employee, actually selling his
personal bike, legitimately. It's a good deal, snap it up if you want a
56cm 650B hilsen that happens to be running 700c wheels and short reach
brakes.

Glad that it's legit, but this is possibly the worst CL ad I have ever

middling grasp of English.

Seriously! The one shot of the Hilsen is out of focus, and who puts up a
picture of a rain-soaked rear derailleur with a rusted chain??? Did you
mention this to Jenny Oh?

Yes, looks fishy to me. I just want to thank Bill and all the other people
who look after us all by checking these online sales.

Weird, the derailleur pictures are on a red bike; not a School Bus Yellow
one. But I think the most glaring thing (at least if it were on this list,
which it's not) is the term rocking. : )

The Noodle cockpit does rock the right controls for a sick 1x10 setup,
which is not beyond the ken of an iconoclastic Rivster. Still.

No mention of size, wheelset, tires, etc., lots of the details near'n'dear
to any Rivendell owner. The price is about one-third of new?
Lot'o'rockin' going on there.

This caught my eye as well. I can't remember ever seeing a Rivendell on CL
for under $1500. However, the ad only lists it in Good condition, the
photo is out of focus and it has been on CL for a couple of weeks at that
price. I guessed it might be in rough shape (maybe left out in the rain
Good connection. Emil did own a 650B Hilsen with 700c wheels and short
reach brakes. That would make the 56cm part feasible.
