The issue is, running a small to medium size business is hard. Running one
that cares about more than the bottom line--quality offerings, sourcing,
employees, customers, etc.--has always been even harder. These days it is
becoming almost impossible.

Perhaps taking enough prepaid preorders to cover production costs would make it
feasible.
The issue could be unforeseen expenses that aren’t accounted for.
