2024-03-22 Thread Brendan Willard in SF
Conway,

Thank you for clarifying that these are the prices shipped. Like Joe, I
found "net-to-me shipped" confusing in the pre-coffee hour of the morning.
These are perfectly reasonable prices for new items. Appologies for
derailing your post!

 Hi Brendan

Looks like the Cap'n lists his wants as "per shipped." So the bars, 90
bucks might seem high, but I bet since the box will be large for that one
item, my guess 30-40 bucks shipping if you do not have a commercial
account. I was surprised of the shipping costs I forked over for parts I
sold last month. One box, IIRC 6x6x5 inches was 15 bucks shipping. There
 goes my expected "profit."

[RBW] Re: Spring Cleaning

2022-03-05 Thread Drew Saunders

Those are the Rene Herse 700x28 “Chinook Pass.” I had previously run Riv
700x29 Roly-Poly. I think I could fit the RH 700x32, which I’ll try when
these wear out. The RH tires seem to run a bit smaller than others of the
same size (my Bontrager 26x2.3 were a lot wider than the RH “2.3”). These
28mm tires seem about 2mm narrower than the RP 29mm tires.

[RBW] Re: Spring Cleaning

2019-04-01 Thread 'Deacon Patrick' via RBW Owners Bunch
Spring ... what now? Sardonic grin.

Hunqabeam likely weighs 2-3 times normal for all the frozen mud on there. So
far, my spring cleaning has involved me laughing hystarically as I pull a sheet
of ice the size of my seat tube off my seat tube. It was a perfect 3-D
rendering of the nobbies, formed as the spray from the muddy roads froze on the
tube immedietly after landing.

With abandon,
Patrick
