[RBW] Summer’s Wild Rumpus

2018-08-27 Thread 'Deacon Patrick' via RBW Owners Bunch
Thanks, Lads! Aye, Andy, the ribs are healing nicely. Two weeks in and I can
sleep on all sides again. We use homeopathics, and one of them is nearly a
Skele-grow potion (instructions make clear the bone must be set before taking
it, lest it need rebreaking to reset, that’s how fast bone knitting begins — I
waited a day to make sure ribs were only cracked, not skewering anything.)
What’s amazing, is two weeks in, it already feels more like 4 weeks in compared
with previous ribbings (pre-homeopathic). This stuff is really impressive!

Tom, aye, the wildlife is amazing, and much like running barefoot, riding fixed
gear is so quiet I see a lot of it that would otherwise be gone. Mostly I watch
in wonder, forgetting about my phone and picture taking. I prefer it that way.
Grin.

Erl, all I need is a breeked tweed onesy and a golden crown cycling cap. Grin.

Aye, Paul, God’s fingerprints are amazing to behold!

With abandon,
Patrick

Deacon Patrick,

I am another that enjoys reading of your Colorado adventures and seeing the
great pics.

I had a week long Colorado adventure

myself early this month.

Best part was sharing it with 2 Grandsons.

Bike riding with both was included.

In the spring I also experienced the

' not fun whatsoever' cracked or injured rib from falling over at low speed on
my bike and my bars giving me a good smack in the ribs.

Also hope to avoid such in future.

Safe pedaling,

Paul in Dallas

Thinking beautiful flowers as you pictured declare the glory of their maker.

Patrick,
Thanks for sharing the beautiful photos of your adventures. You do have an
amazing backyard in which to ramble and write. I will now think of you as Max,
King of the Wild Things!

In which I share a variety of images from a medly of adventures so far this
summer.

I’ve been blessed to ride most every day, despite stupidly breaking a few ribs
(I switched to knobbier tires, Racing Ralph instead of Thunder Burt) and some
stunningly smokey days from the conflagerations in California. I still can’t
figure out on those über smokey days if I’m better off with the super heated
yet cleaner air from a bandit-style bandana, or without it. I’ve been through
torential rain, hot and humid (90’s with 70% humidity a few days), and hailed
upon, with tornados and wall clouds surrounding me. Wild rumpus sums it up
nicely! Grin.
