Go you can’t find a used one, or decide not to surgerate your existing, Ben’s 
Cycle in Milwaukee has all sizes of Technomic Deluxe stems (190mm with brushed 
finish).

I’ve done exactly that to custom fit stems in my wife’s 43cm terry.

You just have to have a bolt of the right length and it’s an easy task.

Another option:
Charles at College Park Bikes can cut your techy 225 down for you. He will mark 
a new minimum insert line on it, too. Just tell him what overall length you 
need.

[RBW] WTB: Nitto Quill Stem 70mm 26.0

Hoping someone here has one in a box/drawer, etc. 

I'm looking for a Nitto Quill Stem, 70mm with a 26.0 clamp. With a 
mid-length insert. Preferably not a 225mm length Technomic/Tallux. But not 
something as short as a Pearl.

A Technomic Deluxe with a 190mm length would work. 

It's going on my wife's 50cm Roadini which has a short headtube that limits 
how low the Technomic can go (which is what's in there now).
