I’ve got Grip Kings and Wellgo. Grips Kings are on my everyday bike and
favorite. Super smooth - never serviced. Always fabulous in any foot covering.
I second the Wellgo option if GK is out of reach or too weird looking for you.

I'm relatively new to the group, and as such may have missed a past thread
on the topic - but what are the benefits to a 1x setup? They seem to be
rising in popularity, yet at first glance it seems limiting and expensive.
Is the rear wheel dished more? How does that effect longevity? Is it worth
Should've mentioned that it looks wicked cool at first glance too!

Great pictures Davey! I don't have anything against Bosco's (currently
using and loving them), but it's refreshing to see a something else on this

I’ve run it along the fender stay to chainstay (which doesn’t look as slick,

It was a pleasure checking in for updates. I find the overarching posts to be
quite satisfying. The ride reports and build journals keep this place human and
humble. Thank you!

One of the few 1x setups that is pleasing to my eyes. Looks proportionally
correct. Just an aesthetic opinion, not based on science or magic. I think it’s
the sub10 cassette.
ANYWAY: always happy to see your goal oriented tinkering - can’t wait for the

I purchased some Evolv Cruzers earlier in the year on a tip from Nam &
Benedict. Apparently they are “approach” shoes. I chose to get the non-laced
version to remove the chances of them hooking my 3x.
They are incredibly light and have tons of grip. I have trouble not wearing
them everywhere. T
I also misinterpreted the term “minimal” - I took it to mean fewer items that
perform the tasks of many. Like an all-rounder or spork.
