Looks great! Really want one of those for my Xtracycle! Only thing I think you need to finish it off is a bit of bar-tape, twine and shellac! ;) Ty On Monday, November 27, 2017 at 5:39:59 PM UTC-8, Ash [who works to bike] wrote: > > Like every other alt bar in I've ever seen/heard of, Jones

I'll second Benz's point. You'd be surprised how visible a fork mounted light is to cars. I know it doesn't seem like it would be. I had the same thought myself with my Brompton. I have my Edelux on the fork right above the fender and I usually have a Carradice bag right on top. Though it

Oddly enough, I've been thinking about a Haul-A-Day to replace my Xtracycle, only because of worsening back issues and nerve pain. The high step-over and weight of my stokemonkey equipped Xtracycle at is not as easy to deal with as it used to be. Sorry to extend this non-Rivendell thread! ;)

Good job! Your load rivals what I can carry on my Xtracycle on a normal grocery run, Very Impressive! For an extreme approach, below shows my Xtracycle four years ago when I tried to really push it weight-wise: Two 28 lb boxes of kitty litter, 8 gallons of distilled water, two big bags of

Beautiful bike! Particularly love your harlequin bar-tape job! My wife/I just did traditional bar-tape with twine and shellac on my Salsa Casseroll the Rivendell way. We did try to match the leather trim on my Gilles Berthoud handlebar bag. However, we really admire your bar-tape with the

Dumb question: I know you checked with Waterford, but did you check with Rivendell themselves to see who the serial number matches up too? Or maybe Rivendell themselves sold it initially to a dealer? I just can't imagine Rivendell does not have a record of the FIRST buyer of the bike at least.
