That was exactly my reaction when I saw those stacked glass office boxes. I realize I kind of picture Rivendell as this warehouse where there is maybe a little, inconspicuous dirt trail behind the dumpster that leads directly off into the landscape of rolling hills pictured on the site. There is a parking lot too, but no cars, it's only for testing bikes and making videos of water pouring off Saddlesacks. And there is always a pot of good coffee and some helpful people in cycling caps and wool shirts doing bikey stuff and being tough in the too cold too hot indoor spaces. Oh well, at least there is still Santa Claus and the North Pole. Right? Has anyone received an orange clem yet? I heard they are deeper, darker, more blood orange delicious than the one on the website. Keven mentioned it and I was sorely tempted, and would almost definitely have gone for it if I were getting a Clem Smith. But somehow I just really like the Clementine dressed in black. Other that witnessing the annual arrival of (many boxes of) Girl Scout Cookies at our office, I can't recall a more welcome sight... And despite life at the moment being so busy and stressful, the mere sight of that UPS box sitting on my doorstep next week will feel like a tropical breeze... Terrific! Gotta bring the big truck for this pick up. Lots of of inventory shipping out-- no wonder Grant et al., get a case of the nerves when ordering. I will admit, I've seen dozens of pictures of RBW and even checked it out via Google Earth but that photo surprises me. I thought that if you were standing in front of RBW, you would be in an alley with a long row of garage doors on one side and a wall on the other. Having that kind of view from RBW never occured to me. When I talked to them they said they would be shipping them in order of when they were bought. So you must have been front of the line.
