Soma's FAQ about the Sparrow bars indicates that they're drilled out to 
accept either reverse brake levers or bar end shifters, and they're 
available as narrow as 49cm, if that's of interest.

because I'm looking for a bar that is narrower than an albatross but takes 
bar end shifters and MTB levers. It's been my understanding that albatross 
is the only choice.
