Glad to see you escaped with your sense of humor and calf in one peice! One
more plug for wool riding gear!

I think you are misunderstanding what I am talking about, Steve.

If you take a needle, and try to poke it through a wad of cotton, it can be
tough to pierce through the wad.

So, in a similar way, maybe the teeth of the dog couldn't pass through the
weave of the wool sock Patrick was wearing.

I don't think you'd be able to get a cotton ball through the eye of a
needle either.

Aye, Andy, the fender flap works a charm! It was one of those odd things that
would have never been captured in a picture except I had stopped to take
pictures, which caused it to happen.

WIth abandon,
Patrick

[RBW] Re: Boiled Wool: Tooth Proof (a ride report)

2017-11-21 Thread ascpgh
By measure of mental and physiological reaction I find a rampaging dog (if
of adequate size) nearly matches a potential oncoming vehicle hit. Cars
don't continue to maraud after they knock you down. Learned to squirt my
water bottle, attempting to get the stream into their mouth. Has worked for
me.

After your ride it looks like a few water bottle squirts would help Paul's
bike too. Nice flap on your front fender there Patrick!
