[RBW] Re: Can anyone compare feel of MUSA wool to Icebreaker?
ps - I have become Kookaburra wool wash junkie since I bought my first bottle from Riv. The lanolin improves your wool. But it also improves all your laundry. I wash towels and sheets in soap, but all my daughter's clothes, my cotton tees - it all comes out better with the Kookaburra. BTW, I just compared an Icebreaker 200 with a MUSA - the only difference is the color of the thread in the seams. Gernot, The lightweight MUSA merino short sleeve T's are very light and soft. They're not very substantial, but then again I don't think you'd want that in a short sleeve T. [RBW] Re: Can anyone compare feel of MUSA wool to Icebreaker?
I have some MUSA, Icebreaker and Smartwool in several weights and a microlite Terramar. The lightweight Smartwood, Icebreaker and MUSA are all very similar. The medium weight Smartwool and Icebreaker are cushy soft and very warm. The microlite Terramar and Smartwool are more like silk. They're all better than cotton in that they don't get saturated, heavy and sticky. In brisk weather (50-degree mornings) I'll wear a lightweight long-sleeve merino with a cotton tee over that, and adjust layers through the morning as necessary.
