[RBW] Re: Choco-Moose Setups.

2018-03-08 Thread Kainalu V.

When my Clem was fresh I had some Chocomoose on there, and they were great.
I modified the ergon grips to move forward rather than cut the bars to get
a little more reach from them. The bike i currently handled with some
Albastaches and an 8cm dirtdrop.

[RBW] Re: Choco-Moose Setups.

2018-03-08 Thread William R.
Here's a shot of mine David. I've got them on the bike they were originally
made for: my Joe Appaloosa. Ok, ok, maybe they were not specifically made
for Joe, but they came stock on it, and I couldn't be happier with them
there and have no desire or plans to switch them out for anything else. The
whole bike fits me like none other has before. It's glove-like, the fit is.
If you have a frame that is a little long for you, that is where the
Choco-M's shine. Because they come back quite a bit. And they have a
multitude of positions once you get the right reach, which is somewhat
static since it's a moose bar, so... you'll want a longer top tube than say
on your drop bar set up (if you have one). 2-3cm longer I would think. With
the right reach, you will be comfortable up-right on the ends as well as
forward on flats in front, and everywhere in between. Even in the "Peter
Sagan, time trailing off the front to the finish" position! Seriously. I
hope you enjoy them.

2018-03-07 Thread Sky Coulter
Put them on my wife's Betty Foy (formerly had dropbars) and dressed them up
with a grant-style wrap.
