Awesome! Gene has been receptive to Grant's wavelength ever since he raced
Bridgestones back-in-those-days.

I had a fun time meeting all the One on One folks, Anna Schwinn, and
All-City/Fulton Brewing race team when I visited Minneapolis. We ended up
playing ping pong in the museum/apartment above the shop til the wee hours
of the morning!

Wonderful story... very happy to take part in semi-real-time as it
happened. Smiles say it best; Riv-ride is special.

“Anniversary Rivs: Celebrate the fellowship of your ring.”--> Rivendell's

Phil/Bike Tinker could do a different run of T-shirts and/or patches?

Oh, Ryan, when you find somethng you really love, isn’t it infectious? I’m so
glad I have you all because it’s so much sweeter when shared. I know you are as
happy for my BIL as I am, and that means so much. I’ve learned heaps here, and
I’m so grateful to the list. So, thank you!

The joke in our family is how alike D and I are - we share most of the same
preferences (for everything from bold colors to jokes to aesthetics), and of
course we both adore Heather. Now that we have Rivendells, we feel like we are
in an exclusive club and we’ve really outdone the rest of the family with our
superior bicycles 藍.

Those 2 kids are celebrating 10 years of marriage, and I think they should get
matching Rivendells. Heather took his Clem for a spin tomight and loved it; I
fear her old bike will never measure up now. “Anniversary Rivs: Celebrate the

Thanks again for celebrating with us!

Roberta, hi! So good to "hear" your voice on the List. Let's hope D loves his
bike as much as we think he will - he was a little off-put by the price tag, as
he was looking at something more in the $600 range.

A shiny grilver Clem L showed up today to a local bike shop with D's name on
it. I can hardly wait to see and hear all about it. Those two kids are at work,
so I haven't gotten any details yet, but I'm going to hound them after work to
find out what's going on out there. I'll report back.

I think its awful that some people think it's OK to just take someone

I'm sure he will love it! Please remember to post pics and let us know how
he likes his new bike.

I think he will be very happy that you have your "sales skills."You
will be his "favorite" SIL. :)

[RBW] Re: It Was the Worst of Times, It Was the Best of Times

2018-05-18 Thread phil k
Nice! I think D will enjoy it!

Nothing better than seeing the cat on a giant cardboard box. I just unboxed
my Hillborne, and I was annoyed by how long it took to pull away the
packaging, but then remembered it was for the best as my bike came in tact
without a scratch!

2018-05-18 Thread dougP
What a great story with a happy outcome. Since it's approaching mid-day in
the Twin Cities, I assume the deal is done. With all of these people being
asked not to buy the bike, and of course cooperating, I think you may have
created a conspiracy. But since your BIL is an attorney, he can render an
opinion on that. After cheap bikes, he's gonna love his new one!
