I'm a fan of the Devolds and have several pairs.
I tend to use them for travel since you can get away with fewer pairs. Hand
wash or in a
machine (if available) using Kookaburra wool wash. Helps that they dry quickly.
The fabric is thin and as others have noted they are a bit higher maintenance
I like them very much with MUSA shorts. I size up for a loose fit, which I
think is the trick for these: I don't think a skin-tight 'lycra shorts' fit
would be comfortable.
I wash them in a regular laundry load, but air dry.

I agree with much you have said about wearing wool. There is the
additional care that must be taken if you are in a area were insects like
to eat them as well. You may find a clothing drawing with insects eating

Musa shorts, pants, knickers, Compass knickers and some "big s" casual shorts
that I got this spring. The boxers just disappear for me under those yet they
provide the non-chafing support that I need. They wick away
They chafed my fat belly, and even though I hardly used them, they
disintegrated badly. On the other hand, they were fairly expensive.

Hi all,
I couldn't find much in a search of this group. My experience with Icebreaker
(and maybe Smartwool) boxer briefs was terrible - the legs just ride up and
bunch, chafe, etc. My thighs are not voluptuous by any means.
One reviewer on Rivbike.com states that s/he had sworn off boxer
