Re: [RBW] The Rivendell Blues..
Agreed. The first Rivendell I ever saw in person was that understated, yet kaptivating (my "see" key is not working on this old keyboard today...) Sage Green. Under the lights at the first Interbike I ever attended. I heard glorious harmony at that moment and it has stayed in my soul sin(s)e that day. - Jim On Apr 9, 2013, at 7:28 AM, Joe Bernard wrote: Ahh..sage green. Re: [RBW] The Rivendell Blues..
The stays were aftermarket, when Dave Porter swapped the verticals for 1010s and moved the brake bridge. A bit of serendipity for the aesthetics. This and the immediately prior photo were taken with an old iPhone, but may serve to indicate this "sage green". https://picasaweb.google.com/BERTIN753/BIKESMISCELLANEA#5861264110804371778 https://picasaweb.google.com/BERTIN753/BIKESMISCELLANEA#5823569192821520178 On Tue, Apr 9, 2013 at 8:24 AM, Bruce Herbitter wrote: > Is this the yellowish green that first year Salukis came in? > > > On Tue, Apr 9, 2013 at 8:44 AM, PATRICK MOORE wrote: > >> >> >> Another favorite is the sage green -- with cream contrasts -- that covers >> my '03. >> >> -- > You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups > "RBW Owners Bunch" group. > To unsubscribe from this group and stop receiving emails from it, send an > email to [email protected]. > To post to this group, send email to [email protected]. > Visit this group at > http://groups.google.com/group/rbw-owners-bunch?hl=en-US. > For more options, visit https://groups.google.com/groups/opt_out. > > > -- http://resumespecialties.com/index.html [email protected] __ -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch" group. Ahh..sage green. I will either a buy a Riv that color someday, or have one painted such. I saw/rode Ray Varella's sage green Rivendell some years ago in Vallejo, and it was just gorgeous. Is this the yellowish green that first year Salukis came in? Re: [RBW] The Rivendell Blues..
I wish I'd kept a note of the blue with which they powdercoated my erstwhile Herse. Much like the Ram blue; at any rate, nicer than the original Herse blue, tho' that on this bike was 53 years old, I think, at time of re-coat. The Ram will get this powdercoat if I live long enough to get it re-coated. I do like the Ram blue -- better, frankly, than the almost navy on the '99 Joe. Another favorite is the sage green -- with cream contrasts -- that covers my '03.
