I’m looking for someone with strong programming experience in R/C++ to develop 
R software to

1) Access, manipulate, and visualize climate data
2) Implement large-scale spatial and spatio-temporal models

Ideal candidate will be able to turn high-level (non-technical) directions and 
instructions into functioning R code, and eventually an R package.  Work will 
be a blend of software development and statistical research.  The position is 
flexible, and could be between 10-40 hours/week.    Pay is competitive, and the 
position will remain open until filled.

Required Skills:
-R programming experience
-Knowledge of statistical methods
-Reliable and self-motivated

Preferred skills:
-C++ (& RCpp) programming experience
-Experience creating R packages
-Software development experience
-Interest in climate change and earth science
