Paul J. Weiss and Diane I. Hillman refer to the ALA response to chapters 6-7 of
RDA. I believe the questions about the development process should be raised
with the members of the JSC and look forward to reading their reply.
I recognize the basic tension between getting things right and finish
After reading the response while I was in Pennsylvania, I was not too sure
what ALA's point was. Of course, the new code will have details; that is
part of what we are about. We, hopefully, just don't throw darts at the
wall and say, "Looks ok to me." As for the editorial details, I think it is

That would not be nearly as "bad" from SLC's point of view as some of
the present provisions of RDA being implemented. Sometimes it is a
matter of the lesser of evils.
