Re: Pre-release v2.1.0a0 - Alpha Release v2.1.0a0

2021-04-09 Thread EricZolf
Hi,

the 64 bits version for Windows is broken, seems something wrong in the
pipeline (thanks to dtxl for reporting):

https://github.com/rdiff-backup/rdiff-backup/issues/555

The 32 bits version looks fine though.

KR, Eric

PS: we really need some Windows tests in our pipeline... Volunteers are
welcome: https://github.com/rdiff-backup/rdiff-backup/issues/347

The plan is to make it 2.2.0, assuming we don't face a major
incompatibility with 2.0.x.

Already there, check the CHANGELOG.md file, linked from the announcement!

Good point, added it to the release notes, as well as a link to the
side-by-side installation instructions.

Hello Eric,

I forgot what was the plan regarding the next release number. Do you plan
to make it 2.2.x or 3.0.x ?

Some important information to be added in changelogs. Python 3.5 support
was dropped in this version.

You may install this version using pip.

pip3 install rdiff-backup==2.1.0a0
