Hello Wrenches,
In the past, I have been able to buy a spiral bound NEC code book and
the handbook on CD ROM as a package from Building Tech Bookstore, at
a good price. At present they are not offering this. Does anyone
know of a good place to buy these items at a decent price?
Thanks,
Most of our central Virginia solar projects are not near saltwater, but Virginia does have a long eastern coastline on the ocean and we do get a few calls from time to time where salt corrosion is a problem. Just starting a new proposal whereocean salt corrosionis an issue andnoticed that most

I really like the CD version. It is searchable, you can book mark and cut

I've worked on a couple of commercial projects where birds were trouble. On
one, we would clean the array, and in less than a week, it would have crap all
over it. Definitely dropped output.
An owl decoy seemed to not have much effect.

I haven't tried rubber snakes but most living creatures are afraid of them.
You might give it a try.

We have had to run a wire mesh perimeter guard around our arrays at some
sites. Squirrels can be quite a problem as well - they chew the wires!

Lee,
I don't get many complaints from customers about birds. However, I
have personally had to do something about one of my arrays and have found the
owl, with the rotating head, to be very effective in keeping them from landing
along the top of the array.
