Jay The is always right! Just carefully align the S-5!s with a mason line and use a plywood template or some other material template to keep these straight. We also use a lot of S-5! and have Milwaukee 12v impact drivers to set the screws. Check the torque with a wrench as well. Good

The S-5 Kit must be adjusted with the jam nuts potentially at every clamp location to keep the modules from being forced to follow the roof contour. We have always used L-feet and rails mounted to the standard S-5 clamps since it creates a flat surface for the pv. Jim Duncan North Texas

All - We attempted a couple of jobs with the S5! kit and no rails and lining everything up was tough. Pro Solar rail directly to the S5! clamps works great or Unirac with L feet even gives more installation flexibility. Sounds like almost all of the responses are along these same lines.

If you want to hit as many seams as possible, just move here to a 170+ design wind speed area and hit every seam on every rail with a clamp. It's only around 110 clamps on a 5kW with 16 pans. Problem solved. :) I agree with the staggering if you can. It's just like staggering attachment points on
