We have been experiencing quite a few new SMA TL inverters where the display
has not gone on when tapped. SunPower was quick to send us replacement
displays and reimbursed us for our for the two we had to deal with. SMA has
also responded pretty quickly though we have not been assured that

I would open it up during a sunny day low humidity with it running and dry
it out, close it up and check again . I had 8 non SMA inverters get water
in them but it was 1/2 qt of water in mine. SMA inverters are sealed so if
itw moist inside it cant get out and this will resolve it.

I've quoted a few systems with an IOTA charger and small inverter. I have
not had any feedback yet. I figure the separate battery charger and
inverter won't make the loads flicker so much when the sun comes and goes.
I'm not sure if the SPS comes back automatically when it's been overloaded

Keep in mind that the secure power supply (SPS) is limited to 1500W output, in
full sun.
Recently I was testing a SPS system on a fairly overcast day and was able to
power a simple radio but not able to turn on a 500W work lamp.
Also, the AC breaker supplying the inverter with the SPS

I've got a newly installed 7700 TL that the display gets foggy after rain.
Inverter is mounted outside, under an eve.
Seal inside appears in good shape, screws are tight.
Anybody have this problem before/ and fixes?
