[RE-wrenches] Rapid Shutdown on Parking Garage

2020-08-27 Thread Corey Shalanski
Code gurus, It seems that a parking garage is properly considered to be a "building" under NEC Article 100 definitions—and that 690.12 rapid shutdown requirements would therefore apply. I am wondering if anyone has successfully argued that 690.12 should *not* apply to systems installed on the

Wrenches, Huawei sent me a video link that displays their Bluetooth dongle as what looks like a (optional) thumb drive which would emit the Bluetooth signal. I guess now I know what that is. This still did not resolve the issue of the intermittent connection when I tried to connect my phone

Hi Jason One thought I have about the blowing fuse is to check it with a IR tool. I suspect a poor connection of the fuse to holder which during higher air temp is causing it to fail. I’m assuming that the correct amp size and slow blow fuse Is installed and that the wire connections are

So the resolution to this is in... But I still have no idea what was wrong. The string of 10 offending microinverters was split into 5 and 5. We had a spare breaker in the IQ Combiner so it was relatively easy to run another branch circuit. It has been over two months with no recurrence. So the

What about using an AC Coupled solution? The IEEE 1547 standard should only be applied to the grid-tied inverter in that case since the hybrid inverter is isolated when the grid is down and does not contribute to the grid sell when the grid is up if there is no solar resource on the DC side

Dave – Related but different. CA Rule 21 and HECO Rule 14H and NE-ISO require equipment tested to UL1741 SA (which outlines what additional functions beyond UL1741 inverters must be capable of) utilizing the appropriate utility Source Requirement Document (SRD). The SRD spells out which UL

Wrenches, Have any of you tried to connect to a Huawei SUN2000-45KTL (or similar) with a smartphone via bluetooth? Using an iphone. They say it requires a bluetooth dongle (phone usb charging cord) which, in my mind isn’t “bluetooth” (which is wireless, isn’t it?) Anyway, when I connect to the
