Joel, I very reluctantly went to a MacBook after all these years and many many laptops. For the first few weeks - I cursed the Mac, missed my HP and drove some SSE staffers crazy. Inevitably though - for web, emails, Word and Excel it has been amazing. No unexplained shutdowns, quick (finally)

As yet another long-time PC veteran (after IBM SNA and PDP-11s) with way too much Windows internals experience, I also just purchased my first Mac. Installed Parallels to support Quickbooks (still no integrated payroll on their Mac version.) I have a maxed-out MacBook Pro as a desktop
