I too need a source for 12V compressors to be used for pond aeration.

I also would greatly appreciate any leads on a source.

Thanks,

Hey All!

I have a client with an old 1/16hp-12 volt GAST dc direct aeration
pump/compressor. GAST no longer makes this 12 volt unit. Any suggestions for a
reliable replacement?

GAST does make higher voltage models I have heard but this would require
replacing everything: the linear current booster, new pv modules, as well as
the compressor.

If you are a supplier please contact me directly.

Thanks in advance.

Re: [RE-wrenches] SolarBridge microinverter troubleshooting and path ahead for stranded customers

2020-07-31 Thread Dave Tedeyan
Hi Al,
A working micro that is mounted directly to the back of the module (i.e. AC
module) will be warm and you can see that in an IR scan. But for the module
as a whole, if the micro is working, then the sun's energy turns into
electricity rather than heat. This actually makes the module cooler than if
the micro was not working.

Cheers,
Dave

Re: [RE-wrenches] SolarBridge microinverter troubleshooting and path ahead for stranded customers

2020-07-31 Thread Al Frishman
Hey Dave,
I am curious. You note that the non working module will be warmer than the
rest. I would think that if a micro is not working then that module will be
cooler than the rest.
