Well, they have announced a new piece of equipment… At the moment it looks more
like a dream than reality – no installation or use manuals available, no
dealers I know have them…

Maybe someone at Schneider can respond. I do see it at my supplier (no
price?) and it is pretty easy to install but yes there is not much on the
Schneider website about this new product other than a data sheet. I am
forwarding this BTW.

Hi Christopher,
I had to replace my Fluke 87 about a dozen years ago as well.
I went with the Fluke 189 and have not regretted it.
I think I sent it in to Fluke for repair (the 87) and they gave me the option
to repair it for $$ or trade it in for a discounted replacement. I chose the
Hi All,
If someone were to bring their set of 4 sealed LA batteries from an off
grid cabin into their house for the winter, I am recommending that they get
a trickle charger to keep them topped off for the ~6 months that they will
not be in use.
Does anyone have recommendations for a product?
G'Day All,
Well my 24 year old Fluke 87 finally passed. It was a great unit and fit
all my needs. Before I go out and buy another I thought I'd reach out to
see if any of my peers would suggest anything different or possibly a step

Thanks,
Christopher-
The Hioki CM4372 seems to be the best clamp-on amp meter for PV out there
these days. 1,500 VDC, two current ranges, and a ton of other features
including a bluetooth app that can do logging. Plus it's about the same
price as a Fluke clamp-on amp meter.

LA type batteries like exercise, not just keeping them fully charged, there
are smart chargers that load then charge the batteries

Hi All,
I believe this was also a PV Powered rebranded inverter.
I have someone with one of these inverters which has stopped working. It
appears that when it has AC voltage on the terminals in the inverter, there
is no voltage on the wires that go to the transformer in the upper part of
the
Dave – Definitely hard to find a transformer based inverter these days.
If looking for a SB 6000US (this is not an endorsement by SMA), you can look at
Solar Cowboyz and their new division, You Love Solar. They have SB 6000US
listed on the website:
