Hi there,

Well I checked out the driver but there is no jumper setting available on the disk, 
like the case in IDE. It just have :-
1.  Power Connector
2.  2 FireWire Ports

Apart from this there is nothing outside the drive.

You have to set the drive for cable select, not master or slave.

You have to set the drive for cable select, not master or slave.

proprietary and the hackers have to reverse-engineer in order to write
drivers.

In contrast, information about USB is readily available. Given the
choice, I would prefer USB2 over firewire.
