Kernel RPM's disaster!

AAHHH!! I really broke it this time. OK, this morning I got all of the kernel rpm's out of the 5.1 updates directory on Redhat. I then did rpm -Uvh kernel*.rpm, and everything appeared to update without a hitch. Unfortunately, upon rebooting my system, I have an ENDLESS scroll of error

I finally went out and popped for a shiny, new, 3-button, Mouse Systems mouse. With gpm, I seem to have it working fine in a VC, but when I load X, it freaks. The pointer is uncontrollable, and for the most part the buttons don't work at all. Can someone tell me what i need to do to reconfig X
