Ignacio, just for the record, the manufacturer doesn't know what he's talking about, I have a zip drive hooked up to my Epson 600 and it works great. The problem is having the correct modules loaded, either lp.o or ppa.o Check the Zip mini-howto, it explains all. Graham

James, when the boot prompt comes up "Linux boot:" type in "linux single" This will boot up linux in single user mode without need for a root password. Once in, type in "passwd" and set the root password. Suggest you also create a user account and do most of your work as user, NOT root.
