Howdy All,
Anybody out there have a redundant NIC solution installed on their servers?
I'm particularly interested in an L2 solution.
thanks,

I would HIGHLY recommend getting the @home service. Unfortunately, I've
just moved out of the service region, but I did have @home for about
18mos. It would take some serious convincing to get me to believe there
is a better value in internet service today...
P.S. Look forward to FTP transfer
three network interfaces (and 64MB of RAM
:) )
in your system. One or more for your local network(s) and at least
two
for connectivity to the rest of the Internet.
[Jason Scherbarth] Depends on what you are doing...
Suppose you have two uplinks to the Internet - one through MCI, and
one
5.0 boxes for compatibility testing with our OSPF
implementation and they've worked flawlessly.

Howdy Folks,
Does anybody know where I can get a recent version of mrouted for RH5?
RPM preferred, a tarred binary would be great, compilable source if all
else fails...

Hi All,

What can I say? I'm a sucker for pretty pictures. If any of you noble
and wise people feel like helping someone out with some minor problems
getting E to run properly (I'm 90% there, it just doesn't load jpegs...)
Thanks in Advance,
Please contact me privately to avoid cluttering the list
this is kind of the eternal X client/server vs. client/server thing. An
application that runs on X, say xterm, is an X client. the piece of
software that handles the display of things in a windowed environment is
the X server, which is told how to make windows look by the Window
Manager. So,
Hello All,
I'm having a bit of an interesting experience getting an X server to run
on a new Dell PC with an STB Velocity 128 AGP board in it. I'm using
the latest X server from SUSE(XF86_SVGA 3.3.2-2) and after some tweaking
of /etc/XF86config actually got it to work. However, after a reboot
You are correct with your color ordering.(I believe this is EIA/TIA 568b
standard wiring) With Ethernet the important wires are 1,2,3 6. If
you need a crossover just exchange where the orange/white, orange,
green/white and green wires are on one end.(which would be 568a)

Is there anything out there that correlates the info DNS has as DHCP
is
assigning IP addresses? Am I just dreaming too much? What I have
in mind
is, when DHCP assigns the IP address, it updates the DNS with the
hostname
info, or vice versa.
[Jason Scherbarth] I've had
it work faster! Any hints for tuning dosemu
performance (oh yeah dosemu ver 0.66.7) would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks again,
