machine and ssh into it.
The DNS servers and Gateway are the same as other machine.
I'm not sure what else to look at.

I tried it with the firewall off and still getting the same
results. Must be some sort of config error I guess.

That is usually a sign of a Firewall.
Passive uses ports gt 1024. Look for that possibly, or use port
instead of passive.

Is there a way to capture events like updating files or writing files
to a directory so a script could be run. For example every time I
modify or add a file having a script automatically run that will copy
it to multiple directories?
