I have to set up a couple of stallion boards for a client, and are looking
for documentation regarding the dip switches and jumpers on the boards.
From what I can tell, the boards ( 2 of ) are original stallions, and as

Got it !
It seems Apache 1.2.5 doen't want to know about direcories if they are
executable, even if no ececutables reside in the directory. Make the
directores +x and all works fine ..!

Apache reports the informative 403 access forbidden.
I find the best option for nt and linux is a small dos partition ( say 10
meg ).
Install msdos x.x and then isatll nt. It will use its own boot loader (lilo
). Then boot linux from the dos partition using loadlin.
So you have 2 menus dos/nt and then linux/dos.
It also allows you to use dos

If your nt server is a PDC or BDC, then you can set samba to get
authentication from the server.
ie security = server in your smb.conf file.
But if your nt box is a stand alone server, this will not work. To
'upgrade' a stand alone server to a
pdc of bdc, you have to reinstall. This is because

The core file sharing protocol on ms products is SMB.
On Netware is Netware Core Protocol, or NCP. Thus you need the ncpfs package.
I had played with samba quite a bit in the past, and only recently set up

run on wabi. i have tried 2.2B and 2.2D.

we have windows clients using eudora that need to access mail via pop3 on a
redhat 5 host.
We have two mail hosts, both redhat 5. on one the syslog reports that
/usr/sbin/ipop3d cannot be found. On the other, no entry is even made in
the syslog.
Needless to say, the eduora clients dont retrieve
