modifying sendmail.cf - it is still, I think a black art. I've
used DSREPAIR live in large environments quite frequenty, and I
still consider myself a humble apprentice.

if you have trouble finding a program to run, try typing
find / -iname programname This will search from the root of
the filesystem for files of name programname The searhc ignores
case and can include wildcards.

I don't know your scsi cards, but if they have any brains at all,
they'll invite you to press some keys at bootup. Once in I'm sure
you'll find the right parameters. If they are really stupid there
might be some jumper settings.
