Kernel panic question

I'm running a linux RH 5.0 kernel version 2.0.31. All it is used for is running a quake2 server. The server is giving me the following panic and then it crashes: "kernel panic skput:over" Does anyone have any idea what this means. My isp recommended that I first upgrade to kernel 2.0.34 and
