Yes, but for command line usage you can use `passwd` instead :-) When did anyone ever use kdepasswd directly? Changing one's password is a rather rare activity, which is already covered for GUI users by user-manager, and for command-line users by `passwd`. I don't see a valid enough use case for "running a GUI tool from the command line to change one's passwd" for the maintenance of kdepasswd to be worth it. -- David Faure, fa...@kde.org, http://www.davidfaure.fr Working on KDE Frameworks 5

OK, kdepimlibs was moved to unmaintained, with the same reasoning I suppose. I'll request that kde-baseapps has the same fate. I certainly wasn't advocating removal, but you made me realize that moving to unmaintained is the only other option. -- David Faure, fa...@kde.org, http://www.davidfaure.fr Working on KDE Frameworks 5

Well, technically all of its contents are still maintained, except for kdepasswd. unmaintained is for stuff that can be resurrected/picked-up, which makes no sense for soon-old kdialog|keditbookmarks|kfind|konqueror.
