Re: phonon-4.3.1 tarballs gone

And I think what's proposed here is distributing (and thus allowing to build with no cmake hackery involved) phonon backends separately from phonon, and allowing them to build against phonon that's distributed with Qt4. From packager's perspective, it would be really nice to have it finally sorted out. Sure, I'm just saying that it would be nice to have a tarball with ALL backends (including gstreamer one which is released with Qt). -- Modestas Vainius modes...@vainius.eu signature.asc Description: This is a digitally signed message part. ___ release-team mailing list release-team@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/release-team

Maybe it could be re-uploaded somewhere? I hope this is the correct list, if not, my apologies. Phonon is released as a part of Qt. I know. phonon-xine isn't, and that's what this tarball provides. The stuff in ftp://ftp.kde.org/pub/kde/stable/4.2.1 simply got moved to ftp://ftp.kde.org/pub/kde/Attic/4.2.1 I had no idea this would create a problem for phonon, though. But that phonon tarball includes also phonon itself, I presume? This sounds quite messy then; it sounds like we should make a phonon-xine-only tarball, right? -- David Faure, fa...@kde.org, http://www.davidfaure.fr Sponsored by Nokia to work on KDE, incl.
