You are running everything as root. "make test" will fail for root.
You should*never* build software as root.:

As Craig B. Agricola said, we'd need to see*why* it failed. Could you please
go into the remind-03.03.00/tests/ directory and send us the output
of this command:

Don't worry about it. Just make install and you should be good.

I still have a problem.

could just get a white text on black background to accommodate
my failing eyesight ... presently I have to invert the display video for
remind but that is not a good workaround ...
Thanks to all for the help, Bob

For TkRemind, put these two lines at the top of your reminder file:
SET $DefaultColor "255 255 255"
REM SPECIAL SHADE 0 0 0
That will help somewhat, but won't change the default color of the GUI
elements themselves.

Yes, that's an improvem
I see the rem2htmlin the files included with remind:
/home/bobg/Downloads/remind-03.03.01/www/rem2html
Remind is in: /usr/local/bin/tkremind
and the data is in: /media/nfs/Rem/.reminders
How can I use rem2html to display my tkremind calendar in firefox?

Thank you for that, but it looks like I have a problem with Perl:
[bobg@Workstation-1 ~]$

That is installed but I still haven't got it to create the html ...

That's unlikely to work. On Fedora, it's likely to be something

That worked, I dnf installed:
# dnf install perl-JSON-Any
