Motorola has completely redone the R-56 manual. It has more current information and includes newer thought. It has alot more information than ever. I wish it was a little cheeper. I'm glad my employeer has a copy. We are in the process of updating and upgrading all of our sites, and it looks like

Muahhh, We just had the same problem. Took out the antenna, jumper to the antenna from 1 5/8 hardline, and arrestor. System showed good vswr and worked pretty good. We did suffer damage to the RF Final PA. At 50 watts no problem, but when the PA was fixed it would cut back to about 100 watts out

Okay, Unlikley, but the problem nevertheless.  Our preamp was fried on our site.  Even though it seemed to be working fine for all of the other stations that are hooked up to it.  Weird, but problem solved. You can now hit our machine over 40 miles away on an HT at 5w.  Thanks and good luck wit
