Amen!...
Actually it's where people quote every message before theirs and we
get to see all of them in each post. It's very hard to read the
replies now when you have to sort through several 'levels' to find
the newest post.
Please, just delete everything but maybe the post before yours

We had EFJ repeaters (VHF, UHF and 800) in the ITECS trailer... They are
pieces of shit! We NEVER could get them to work reliably, even with EFJ
field technicians offering their support. We ended up pulling them our and
replacing them with mobile radios.
Just one

One comment: EFJ has some really strange ideas on P25 trunking and don't
follow the P25 standard. Not sure if that would affect conventional P25
or not.

If the EFJ radios are the same as Motorola, how do you explain the
Motorola radios not working with the EFJ radios? (specifically with
respect to Private calls that EFJ responds with a system busy queue
rather than a private call grant)

Paul,
I have obtained a 900 MHz EF Johnson Repeater Model 8900.
I opened the transmitter, and did not see any type of channel element,
but there was 2 banks of DIP switches.
Is this repeater programmable?? And, if so, does anyone have any
programming instructions that they would be willing to
Hi,
While every one is discussing EFJ P-25 radios, can anybody tell me what a EFJ
242-5015-102-AAAB radio is?
On the front says STEALTH 25.
It too looks like it was made by BIG-M as the battery looks like a big HT-1000
battery.
I'm thinking it is at least P-25 capable, any idea how to tell what
Bill,
