Perhaps it might be less confusing to some if we started referring to
the actual "Carrier Frequency" of any particular station...
For Example:
My local Educational station that I used to work for is a UHF satellite
station for NHPTV who's primary ANALOG station is/was on analog CH11.
The actual Carrier Freq of around 200Mhz +/- visual.  (199.25Mhz or so)

My local UHF station was on ANALOG CH52 at 699.26Mhz visual which
simulcasted DIGITAL CH49 on carrier frequency of 681.25Mhz, however it
identifies on the 681 freq as CH 11-1 and CH 11-2.

So, yes, an antenna is an antenna, but if your local DTV station has a
carrier frequency of 700Mhz and its analog counterpart was broadcasting
at 55Mhz, you're probably going to want a higher gain antenna, which the
UHF antennas typically are.  And they are also much more directive.  The
DTV "Channel" designators mean nothing....
