Mathew, Before you can put a GMRS repeater on the air, you must have a GMRS license. You also need to read and understand the applicable FCC Rules in Title 47 USC Part 95. The current edition of Part 95 is dated October 1, 2003. A GMRS repeater should be FCC Type-Accepted for Part 95
