The aftermarket programming cable I has was sealed
in some type of potting material that I didn't
want to bother with. I have built the clone unit
from the rusky web page diagram with good results.
I will say the adapters put out more broadband
rf noise than anything I've seen going
Also as a Kenwood dealer tech, I'd like to point out to the members
that the programming cable used on the older Kenwood mobiles was a 6
pin, 6 conductor modular plug. Kenwood design engineers in the
infinate wisdom decided that the newer model radios should have a 8
pin, 6 conductor modular
