I would like to solicit opinions from the group in regard to Zetrons
Digital Delay Units. To make it simple and right to the chase,
The question is about using the digital delay in a Municipal
environment for the Public Works Dept in a Rural South Jersey
township, (approx. 50 sq, Miles). The goal would be to extend the
range of a few portables (MT1000's) to a centrally located DPW shop
using a Motorola Mobile set up as a Base on low band VHF (39.xx).
Strange as it sounds: AKA Simplex Repeater for the choice of any
other definition.
The 39.xx is already licensed in the (PW) service. The question is
not only related to if this is really a good idea, but also as to if
it is a permitted use under FCC R & R's for a Governmental Entity.
All and any comments and opinions regardless of how kind or harsh
will be sincerely appreciated. Rest assured this is just an inquiry
and would be pretty much one sided affair unless any additional
question/s may arise after the opinions flow in.
