I was given several of those about 20 years ago. At that time they appeared to have been in use for at least 20 years so I suspect the design goes back at least into the 60's. My guess is they were made by Phelps Dodge which was a popular commercial antenna manufacture during that time.

Hi Sounds like garbage on the 5volt bus. Change the electrolytic caps associated with the 5 volt dc converter. Just use good quality caps and it should solve the problem. You do NOT need the special 3 lead cap that M uses, just a good quality cap (low ESR) Ralph -- Original
