One of two things come to mind.
GE uses a short center pin RCA plug. If you are using a regular length RCA
plug, the center pin will be too long and may short if pushed in too far.

and the company won't give you a schematic to fix one, but they will

I had My Ham equipment in the Veh . I did not have a DC Adapter for My old
IBM Laptop , So I got a Tripplite 300 Watt Inverter to power it , I the

900mhz.
It is programmed via eprom to TX frequency of 934.mhz.
I have a code plug eprom burned for it but I have not installed it yet.
When I connect the station to power it goes into transmit right
