RE: [Repeater-Builder] HP3551A Service manual

2010-08-07 Thread Randy Fisher
Hi Peter,

I had my 3551 failed sometime ago, was intermittent connections in the unit,
just cleaned and reseated connectors and IC's, unit has worked fine since?

You may want to try it and see if it works.

Hi,

I saw someone had used a HP3551A TIMS to set up repeater audio levels. I
have a used HP3551A also, but it recently stopped working. Wonder if anyone
had schematics? The manual I found online had everything but no schematics.
A good high resolution Jpeg photo of the schematics would be greatly
appreciated.

RE: [Repeater-Builder] Motorola Mystery Box

2010-06-28 Thread Randy Fisher
This is a 600 Ohm Delay line used in setting audio delay's on Simulcast
paging systems.

The delay is in micro seconds.

I have used several of these on an old Ameritech 158.100 paging system.

This unit goes between the Link receiver or a leased audio telephone line,
you set the delay by soldering to the correct post.

I hope this helps,

Hello All--

In answer to Ted, Eric and others---Yes, I guess it could be a taped delay
line --but at telephone audio? I'm saying telephone because of the telco
wire attachedWhat do you think the numbers might be?---milli-seconds?
seems like that would take a lot of network but then there is a fair
amount of space in the box but that would probably add up to a lot of
attenuation.

First, see the pictures--- as you can see, the box is metal and soldered and
the connections are as it came to me.

Since my first message, I have ask some questionsit seems that it came
this way with a junked 65Mcs Micor that had been in paging service
-that's all I know and I'm still mystified-what is it and what was
it used for?

Maybe its time to make some bench measurements.

Many thanks,

Scott

Hi Steve,

For what type of chassis, the exciter is different on the unified chassis.
Unless you're using a mobile?

Might be a long shot - anyone have spare six meter crystals for the Micor? I
need rocks for 52.15 MHz receive and 53.15 transmit.

Thanks...

Jordan,

My Spectra-TAC Voting Receiver manual does not list any component by that
name. Does the device you need have a specific module part number?

Hey Guys,

I *may* need a roofing filter for a spectra-Tac voter panel. I am probing to
see
if anyone has one laying around so I know who to contact if I end up needing
it.

If anyone has one that they wish to part with, please let me know what you
are
asking for it.

Thanks,

Jordan
