I think "notorious" is an extreme exaggeration. I have eight MTR2000 repeaters in service, and they have been trouble-free. Moreover, I have never heard of such problems from other MTR2000 owners. Some early units had problems with a bad batch of a particular transistor, but that was corrected years ago. Let's have some hard data to back up this vague allegation!
