I solved that problem by putting some slop into the connection between
the rod and the plunger. It's kind of hard to explain,
Not in Indiana, but a comment. I Used one of those Duplexers years ago. Be
careful where you locate it. Extremely sensitive to temperature variations.
We had it on a mountaintop and retired it after the first winter.

I'm not an expert, but would be willing to help you tune them, I just got
mine tuned, once I figured out what I was doing wrong, well not wrong, just
did not know about the third set of cans changing things. Always willing to
help.

replacing it with a more similar metal to copper like brass or copper
threaded rod if you can find it. or a plastic rod that has good
tempreture charecteristics.
