RE: Synchronization report for Apache Software Foundation

2005-02-07 Thread Carlos Sanchez
Hi,

Until I fix the problem that is causing the message "mesg: ttyname: Operation
not supported" (wich in turn forces the mail sending)
I have changed the notification address to my own e-mail. If anyone knows the
cause of this message please tell me.

Some debug info:

I'm running:
rsync $options --rsh=\"ssh -T -l $rsyncUser\" $address:$directory/
$repoDirectory
options=--log-format="artifact %f %l %t" -rvl -L --size-only -q

Ssh debug info:

debug1: Sending command: rsync --server --sender -vlLr --size-only .
/www/www.apache.org/dist/java-repository/
debug1: channel request 0: exec
debug1: channel 0: open confirm rwindow 0 rmax 32768
mesg: ttyname: Operation not supported

Thanks and sorry for the noise.

I'm sure Carlos will get to it soon. Sorry for the noise.

My guess is that the recipients are all BCC'd. Most mail clients say
something like "To: Undisclosed recipients". This is only causing me a
problem because it doesn't get labelled - I'll try and use
Delivered-To instead.

+1 to only email when a change.

Unsure why, but I'm not seeing a To: address for it in gmail, just a Reply-To:.

Yes,
I'm hoping though, that Jason would set this to only report when theres
actually a transfer. The original script I wrote, which ran on ibiblio
behaved so.

Jason,
What is the status of the rsync reporting via email? This is the first
time we've actually received an email at [EMAIL PROTECTED] It
appears to be caused by a file IO error involved with creating a
directory that already exists?
