Save Money and Make your Own Iced Mochas that are Better!
by Monica Resinger
http://homemakersjournal.com

These iced mochas are better than any you can buy and you'll save a ton of
money making them at home. ?

Serves 4

4 servings worth of your favorite hot cocoa mix
Approximately 1 cup of fresh brewed hot espresso or strong coffee
Milk (I use 1%, but you can use your favorite... just keep in mind that the hot
cocoa mix adds richness so you can use a milk with less fat and it will still
be rich tasting)
Ice
Whipped Cream

About 15-30 minutes ahead of time, brew the espresso or coffee.? Put all of the
hot cocoa mix in a large heat-proof cup.? When espresso or coffee is finished
brewing and still hot, add it to the hot cocoa mix and mix until all mixed in.?
Let the mixture cool for around 15-30 minutes (you can skip this step if you're
in a hurry, but if you wait, your iced mocha will be less watered down from
melted ice).? Fill 4 medium-large cups or glasses about 1/3 of the way full of
ice, then add milk to fill the cup/glass 2/3 or so full.? Now add approximately
1/4 of the espresso/hot cocoa mixture to each cup of iced milk and stir.? Taste
for sweetness.. if extra sweetness is desired, flavored coffee syrup can be
added (hint... make different flavor combos with different syrups... I've used
cherry and Almond Roca with delicious results!).? Top with whipped cream and
serve. ?
