Required Skills:



§  The ideal candidate should possess and apply a broad knowledge of
principles, practices, and procedures of software product design.

§  Experience in the healthcare industry as well as expertise in healthcare
administrative disciplines, such as claims processing and benefit design are
required.

§  Strong analytical, verbal and written communication skills along with
strong interpersonal skills are necessary.

§  This candidate should have a general knowledge of software development
process.

 This position is specifically to write design specifications for a large
new account that requires significant specifications for what is essentially
a new offering.

§  In order to be successful, the candidate must have a deep understanding
of Facets functionality including table design and content and application
functionality. Ideally in the areas of claims and benefits.

§  The candidate should have a demonstrated background and success in
software design. As such, we would expect this candidate to understand a
business requirement and associated use cases and ability to design
solution(s) and features to meet the requirement.

§  This includes writing specifications that detail what the programming
team will develop and the QA team will test and would include designing
visuals and articulating the edits and business rules associated with the
visual. This also includes defining processing logic necessary to achieve
the desired results.

§  Collaboration with other designers and SE are a part of this role.

 We expect this contractor to produce actionable specifications in a short
period of time so prior experience is critical.



§  Duties include:



§  The Product Designer will be responsible for all functions related to the
development and maintenance of designs and associated artifacts used to
develop an enterprise-wide core administration solution.

§  Responsible for translating business and technical requirements into
specifications used by architecture and software engineering to build
solutions, by quality assurance to test solutions and by documentation.

§  The selected candidate will research, design and document the application
functionality necessary to respond to market and customer needs.

§  The individual will independently conduct design meetings and functional
reviews, collaborate with product and development teams to complete designs.


§  The designer will prepare both high level and detailed functional design
specifications customer approval.

§  This person will also be called upon to perform demonstrations of
features, assist with quality assurance testing, review and provide updates
to documentation.

§  Additionally, this person will provide support and training for internal
customers and prospective customers, which could include offsite
presentations and demonstrations.
